Stop into El Cordova Garage, Inc. today. We look forward to serving you soon!
El Cordova Garage, Inc. has been in operation in Coronado since 1904, when its first location was off Orange Avenue behind the current Brigantine Restaurant. In 1959, El Cordova moved into its permanent home on the corner of C Avenue and 10th Street after the famed Dodge DeSoto dealership closed down and Townsend Motors & Garage closed.
The vintage look of the automotive repair shop catches the eyes of visitors and locals alike. On a typical day, one may find an early Model “T” or a spruced up hot rod in the showroom window. The shop dog, Kai, plays a vital role in the showroom office, overlooking operations with the bosses and greeting customers.
Rock Walton is the current owner of the garage. Rock began his work for El Cordova as a mechanic over twenty years ago, moving on to service writer, and then to supervisor. He is an expert mechanic and has history working in Nascar, building race cars. Rock’s philosophy is simple: If it’s broken, we will fix the problem, but we do not oversell what isn’t broken.
Rock’s approach to doing business is that honesty is the best policy. You can certainly trust El Cordova Garage, Inc. for all your automotive service needs. Our mechanics are A.S.E. certified and attend ongoing automotive tech classes. We house twelve bays and can accommodate work on any make and model.
